তীব্র খরার নির্মমতা!
তবে কি, পরম সৃষ্টিকর্তার অসন্তুষ্টি?
অনাথ কিশোরীর সুখের হাসিটুকু বন্ধকী রয়েছে ক্ষুধা ও দারিদ্র্যের কাছে ।
হতাশার মেঘে ঢাকা মুখ ।
জন্মভিটের মতোই চৌচির প্রত্যাশার স্বপ্নগুলো ।
প্রকৃতির কাছে সে নিদারুণ অসহায় ।
হতে পারে, হালচাষের গরুটি তার শেষ সম্বল ।
তবুও, নিঃস্ব জীবনে বেঁচে থাকার তীব্র লড়াই ।
এ জন্ম যে- অভিশাপ ।
অনিশ্চিতভাবে চেয়ে থাকে দিগন্ত জুড়ে ।
নিষ্পাপ চোখে সীমাহীন হাহাকার!
কি যেনো, শত জিজ্ঞাসা—
বিধাতার কাছে, না কি তার সৃষ্টির কাছে?
না কি, নিয়তির কাছে পরাজয়?
The ruthlessness of the intense drought!
But what, the great creator’s dissatisfaction?
The orphan girl's happy smile is mortgaged to hunger and poverty.
A face covered with a cloud of despair.
Dreams of expectation have shattered like the birthplace.
She desperately helpless to nature.
Can be, ploughing cow is her last asset.
Nevertheless, intense fighting to survive in a poor life.
As if, her birth is like a curse.
Looking uncertainly across the horizon.
Infinite wailing in innocent eyes!
What as if, hundred asked—
To the creator, or to his creation?
Or what, defeat to the destiny?
